Caño Cristales, also known as “River of Five Colors” or “Liquid Rainbow” is located in Colombia, South America. It is unique in the world and widely recognized as the most beautiful river on Earth. The colors are the result of crystal clear water and colorful aquatic plants (Macarenia clavígera) that grow at different times of the year. The river is devoid of the fish however, due to the lack of nutrients and particles in the water.
