Colombia’s Geography is Wild

Colombia has a diverse geography, with a range of landscapes that include the Andes mountain range, the Amazon rainforest, the Caribbean and Pacific coastlines, and the fertile plains of the Llanos. The Andes mountain range runs through the center of the country and includes the highest peak, Mount Cristobal Colon, which reaches an altitude of 5,700 meters. The Amazon rainforest in the south covers over 60% of the country and is one of the largest rainforests in the world. The Caribbean and Pacific coastlines offer beautiful beaches and a unique coastal culture, while the fertile plains of the Llanos are known for their vast grasslands and abundant wildlife.
