Feelings run strong in Argentina with the dispute over sovereignty of the Falkland Islands. The United Kingdom claims their sovereignty dates back as far as 1690, while Argentina dispute that claim and counter with them having control for a few years prior to 1833. The dispute led to the Falklands War with Britain being the victor, but there is a lot of ill feeling in Argentina to this day.
