The historic suburb of Thorndon in Wellington New Zealand is an inner city residential area. It contains many 19th century homes. It also has high-rise apartments, government office blocks, and the city’s main sports stadium. Premier House and the Beehive, (the name given to the Executive Wing of the New Zealand Parliament) are both located here.
