Located opposite Parliament, New Zealand’s ex-Government buildings stand proudly within the Government Buildings Historic Reserve. This impressive building, erected in 1876, holds the distinction of being the largest wooden structure in the Southern Hemisphere. Currently integrated into Victoria University’s law faculty, visitors can explore its grand staricase, the cabinet chamber, and historical exhibits on the ground and first floors.
