The Colombian National Capitol, also known as the Capitolio Nacional, is a building in Bogotá, Colombia. It serves as the seat of the Congress of Colombia, the legislative branch of the Colombian government. The building was designed by German architect Thomas Reed and was built between 1847 and 1926. The National Capitol is located on the Plaza de Bolívar, in the historic center of Bogotá. It is a prominent example of the Neoclassical style of architecture. It houses the chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as other government offices.
