The Blue and Gold Macaw (Ara ararauna), also known as the Blue-and-yellow Macaw, is a large, brightly colored parrot that is native to Central and South America. They are primarily bright blue on the top of their bodies and bright yellow on the bottom, with a band of blue feathers around their eyes. This one was pictured in the Colombian Amazon rainforest.
