Allamanda is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the family Apocynaceae, which is native to tropical America. Some species of Allamanda are known to grow in the Amazon rainforest. Allamanda cathartica, also known as the golden trumpet, is one of the species that is known to grow in the Amazon region. It is a vine-like plant that produces large, trumpet-shaped yellow flowers.
