Milford Sound Fiordland

The videographer described this day as “the most beautiful day of my life”. The conditions were perfect precisely because it was raining. In most places, rain and low cloud can spoil the view, especially when they hide the mountain tops. But in Fiordland National Park, rain brings the landscape to life. Countless waterfalls begin cascading down the steep cliff faces, spilling into valleys, rivers, and directly into the fiords below. One of the most spectacular ways to experience this is by sailing through Milford Sound on a wet day, when the whole landscape feels alive with water.
