Documentary about the the first peoples to arrive in New Zealand.
This is a look at the country’s discovery by both Polynesians & Europeans. Both groups of explorers undertook the greatest ocean bound expeditions in the history of the world. What they discovered was a group of large islands deep in the South Pacific. With a more temperate climate, towering snow capped peaks, lush rain forests, and thousands of miles of coastline, the exploration of this new land had began. This was the last significant landmass to be discovered by humans. Even today, some parts of New Zealand still remain relatively unexplored.
