Parliament House in Wellington, is one of the buildings that comprise New Zealand Parliament Buildings. This building houses the debating chamber, speaker’s office, a visitors’ center, and committee rooms. Construction occurred from 1914 to 1922, replacing a former building destroyed by fire in 1907. Parliament began utilizing the partially finished building in 1918. It is recognized by Heritage New Zealand, with a Category I heritage status.
