Bowen House in Wellington is a 22 storey office building located on the corner of Lambton Quay and Bowen Street within the parliamentary precinct, directly across from the Beehive. Completed in 1990 and designed by the architectural firm Warren and Mahoney, it was leased by the New Zealand Parliament for many years and housed offices for Members of Parliament, ministers, and parliamentary staff. The building is connected to the Beehive by an underground passage beneath Bowen Street, which historically included travelators used by journalists and politicians moving between the buildings.
