View of the entrance to Queen Charlotte Sound from the Cook Strait, the body of water that separates the North Island and South Island. Queen Charlotte Sound is one of the three main sounds that make up the Marlborough Sounds in the northern part of New Zealand’s South Island. It is the easternmost sound and most popular of the three sounds.
