View of Cheltenham Beach in the New Zealand city of Auckland. Located on the North Shore in the suburb of Devonport, the beach provides clear views of Rangitoto Island. Rangitoto is a conical shaped volcano located in the Hauraki Gulf. A short drive west takes you to the main center of Devonport where there are a number of quality restaurants and cafes. A ferry service connects Devonport to downtown Auckland. For these reasons, the suburb is a popular place to visit.
