One of the most scenic sites in all of Europe is Geirangerfjorden in Norway. The landscape on the western side of the country is packed with fjords which are valleys below today’s sea level. Some of them penetrate hundreds of kilometres inland and are filled by the sea and surrounded by sheer cliff walls and spectacular waterfalls.
