Lake Suesca is located in the Suesca and Cucunubá municipalities of Cundinamarca. This body of water sits at an altitude of 2,800 metres (9,200 ft) above sea level, so it is a bit cooler here. The lake and surrounds is a good place to stop for a picnic when travelling between Bogota and the tourist town of Guatavita. Photo taken in the year 2002.
