Juan Valdez Café is a coffeehouse chain based in Colombia, named after a fictional character who has become a national symbol of Colombian coffee. The company was founded in 2002 by the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation, a non-profit organization that represents over 500,000 coffee-growing families in Colombia.
