Chivas are buses that are traditionally used in rural areas of Colombia. With their bright painted colors, they are also used in cities as tour buses. Because the buses are not fully enclosed, they provide good views of the city and give you the feeling that you are outside. Chiva tours also come with complimentary alcoholic drinks and blare local music usually vallenato from external speakers. The included alcoholic beverage is usually aguardiente, a national drink made from alcohol, sugar, anise, and water.
