View of a typical suburb in the district of Barrios Unidos. The suburb lies within a level two estrato. Consequently, the neighborhood is relatively poor by western standards. Colombia has six estratos defining economic and social classes. Level one is the lowest and defines destitution while level six is wealthy and is similar to upper class in first world nations.
