Whitehaven Beach is situated on Whitsunday Island within a national park. It is considered one of the best beaches in Australia because of its bright white sand. Although there are a number of beaches in Australia with similar sand, this beach is also 7km (4.3 mi) long, and within the Great Barrier Reef.
