The Hollywood Freeway is a major north-south freeway in Los Angeles, California. It is officially known as State Route 170 (SR-170) and is part of the California Freeway and Expressway System.
The freeway runs for approximately 8 miles (13 km) through the heart of the city, connecting the downtown area with the San Fernando Valley to the north. It starts at the intersection of the Golden State Freeway (Interstate 5) and the Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 10) in the downtown area and runs north through Hollywood, passing by landmarks such as the Hollywood Bowl and the Hollywood sign, before terminating at the Ventura Freeway (State Route 134) in Studio City.
