Baños de Agua Santa, commonly referred to as Baños, is a small town located in the Tungurahua province of Ecuador. It is nestled in a valley at the foot of the active Tungurahua volcano, surrounded by lush mountains and beautiful natural landscapes. Baños is a popular tourist destination known for its hot springs and waterfalls.

Baños which translates to ‘baths’ has thermal baths which are fed by volcanic hot springs. Visitors enjoy a dip while taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Like most hot springs, they are believed to have healing properties.

Baños is also known for its impressive waterfalls. Some of the most famous waterfalls in the area include Cascada Cabellera de la Virgen, as well as the breathtaking Pailón del Diablo (Devil’s Cauldron) waterfall.
