About Brazil
Brazil is an exotic destination blessed with great scenery, a rich culture, vibrant cities, and the largest tropical rain forest on Earth. It sits on the eastern side of South America and unlike the rest of teh continent, they speak Portuguese instead of Spanish.
In the north of the country where the climate is tropical lies the Amazon Basin, the biggest bio-diverse area in the world. As you head further south, there are pockets of desert and drier areas. Further south again, and the climate becomes temperate.
Landscapes in Brazil are varied but so are the cities. São Paulo for instance is the largest city in the southern hemisphere and the Americas, and the seventh largest city in the world by population. Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city and is more famous for its spectacular landscape, beach culture, and carnivals rather than its big city attractions.
