About Iguaçu Falls
View photos of Iguaçu Falls in Brazil.
Iguaçu Falls spans the Iguaçu River and resembles horseshoe shape extending 1.7 miles (2.7 km). That is considerably greater than Niagara Falls in North America or Victoria Falls in Africa.
Located on the border between Brazil and Argentina, the falls are one of the most famous and awe-inspiring waterfall systems in the world. These falls are a natural wonder that draws millions of visitors each year due to their stunning beauty, impressive size, and unique ecosystem.
Viewing the falls from Brazil offers you the most extensive view while neighboring Argentina gets you closer to the individual falls. In Brazil, there is one main path that follows a road with multiple offshoot tracks and boardwalks providing spectacular views.
Iguaçu River forms the border between Brazil and Argentina and this has created two separate national parks. Argentina contains Iguazú National Park while Brazil has Iguaçu National Park.
