Donnington Castle is a historic site located in Berkshire, England. The castle is situated on a hilltop near the village of Donnington, just north of the town of Newbury. It is known for its impressive ruins and picturesque setting.

Originally built in the 14th century, Donnington Castle was a fortified stronghold constructed by Sir Richard Abberbury the Elder. It was initially designed as a luxurious residence rather than a traditional fortress. The castle consisted of a gatehouse, a great hall, and several towers.
