The Victoria and Albert Museum, commonly referred to as the V&A, is a renowned museum of art and design located in South Kensington, London, England. Established in 1852, it is the world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a vast collection spanning over 5,000 years of human creativity.

The museum was named after Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert, who were strong supporters of the arts and sciences. Its original purpose was to inspire and educate designers and manufacturers in the British industry by showcasing exemplary works of art and design.
