St Martin-in-the-Fields, circa 1962. Also known as St Martins, the building is a well-known Anglican church located at the northeast corner of Trafalgar Square in London, England. The church is often referred to simply as St Martin’s. The church has a rich history that dates back to the medieval period. The current building, however, was constructed in the early 18th century and designed by architect James Gibbs in the Neoclassical style. It is considered one of the finest examples of English Baroque architecture.
