Christ Church Isle of Dogs, circa 1962). Also known as Christ Church Spitalfields Isle of Dogs, is an Anglican church located on the Isle of Dogs in East London, England. The church is situated on the northern part of the island, near the Canary Wharf financial district.
The original Christ Church was built in 1854 as a mission church to serve the rapidly growing population of the Isle of Dogs, which was primarily an industrial and working-class area. However, the church was severely damaged during World War II and subsequently demolished. In the 1960s, a new church building was constructed on the same site to replace the original structure.
