Milan Cathedral in Italy is the third largest cathedral in the world. The largest in the world is St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. Coming in at second place is Brazil’s ‘Lady Aparecida’. Construction on Milan Cathedral started in 1386. It was finally complete in 1965, some six hundred years later. Because construction took centuries, the cathedral has a mix of styles.
