The full realm of New Zealand includes the three main islands, North Island, South Island, and Stewart Island. In addition, there are lesser known islands and territories including: Chatham Islands, Kermadec Islands, sub-Antarctic islands, Niue, Tokelau, the Cook Islands, and the Ross Dependency in Antarctica. There are also hundreds of smaller islands that exist near the three main islands of New Zealand, such as the Auckland Islands.
