Koala’s often perch in the fork of a tree as they can sleep more than 20 hours per day. With their remaining hours in the day, they eat eucalyptus leaves, maintain their territory, and look for potential mates. Koalas are very slow moving animals similar to sloths. This ensures that they don’t burn what little energy they get from their diet. Koala’s are found along east coast and inland as well as the south coast in Great Otway National Park on the Great Ocean Road.
