A natural arch at Port Campbell National Park, in Victoria, Australia. Also called a natural bridge, they are formed when lower rock strata is weaker than strata higher up resulting in erosion of the weaker strata first leaving a natural bridge. They are commonly formed where cliffs are exposed to water such as the sea or rivers.
